great build of tension in this piece. The emotions are bold and sincere. I love the moments between husband and wife. These two people truly know each other. The description of Ezra's ride, even I was like "Hurry!", and that bitch of a midwife. I see her point of view, childbirth is old hat to her and like many doctors she's stopped treating each new birth as an individual experience. But when she gave him lip, I saw red just like Exra and nearly cheered out loud when he threw her on the horse. great piece :)
