I've decided that I really shouldn't google Victorian Dress images, because I've come across so many beautiful dresses I want in my game, including dresses for two sims I'm finding it very difficult to dress, Bethany and Celestia.

This dress, by the very talented lady at Widow's Weeds, would be perfect for Bethany:

Elaine Goodytwoshoes's dress.  In fact, I came across several dresses that Judie at All About Style seems to have used for her inspiration when making dresses.  This is another dress I have in my game.

But yes, beautiful dresses, oh how I wish I could make clothes for the sims 2.  But I can't, so I guess I'd better get on with shooting my sim_scenes  idea.
