I'm getting married in the morning...
I made some progress with playing and getting what I need for the next chapter last weekend, and that included getting my simself hitched. It's been a long time coming and it was quite an eventful affair.
First though I had to add a simself whose been sitting in the simbin for a while to one of the simself houses. I went in to check what her LTW is (marry off 6 children. She's a knowledge sim: my LTWs are well and truly fubared), aaand this happened.

"Got your nose!"
"Hmm what?"

"No one ever thinks about Cecil's fish!"

"Urgh, they're fish. What is there to think about?"

"I'm not sure I like your attitude." *pokity poke poke*

"Wha?"

Ori pops along to try to distract Circe since she knows that Circe also has a nicepoint deficit, and won't take being poked very well.

Prof had other ideas however.
*POKE*

"Prof, maybe you should lay off the poking a bit?"
"Whatever for?"

*SHOVE*

*glare of DEATH*

"Circe, lovely as it is to see you, perhaps it's time you were off home?"
"Ori, please take your arm out of my chest."

"Opps, sorry Prof. Anyway Circe, I think you really should be going."
"Not until I've said goodbye to everyone else. "

*slappity slap slap*

*SLAP*
"You're going to have to exit without saving, aren't you Di?"
Oh yes. I'm not having these two ruin the wedding.
Circe then went inside and Prof followed her, so this happened.

Circe's been in my game for a while now, and lives in the second simself house, so she is permaplat and has a boat load of skill points that helped her to the top of her career. It really didn't surprise me that this was the outcome of the fight:

This little tussle caused them to become enemies, and I exited without saving afterwards so that I could get on with the wedding.
Every simself was teleported over, along with the legacy sims who are getting the most face time. I have so many households I've decided to narrow my focus in the chapters to the immediate spares, Theo, Louisa and Rosie's families, Stanley and any others that will round out the chapter, and/or plots/character development. For example Anne will be appearing again when Charlotta dies, to pick up on her character development and storyline. I'll keep you updated with the other sims through my rotational picspams, but otherwise I think that things will get confusing to you all and you won't know how anyone is related. I mean I've had people ask me how Stanley, Theo and Eddie are related in the past.
Anyway, as I was teleporting everyone over, it appears that Prof decided that she would once again prank someone, this time it was the other PB I have running around.

Luckily SimSarah is more even tempered than Circe and walked away before any thing else could happen.

Oh and Cait, it looks like Cee's thoughts have turned to Simshire and the Smiths.
I have to say that Prof's simself isn't the only cranky sim I have in the neighbourhood at the moment. I still haven't got to the bottom of why Rosie and Stanley hate Cyd, and for that reason I didn't invite him to the wedding. I've got the feeling that Rosie is just very cranky with everyone at the moment. I mean is this the face of a sim who has 6 nice points?

Not even Alexandra with her 1 nice point pulls faces like this.
I am very pleased with the fact that I managed to get almost everyone sitting down for the ceremony, and I didn't mind too much the three that insisted on standing.
Anyway it was attended by :

beautiful daughters from another legacy,

friends whose faces glitched into a scowl for the entire ceremony,

3-bolt stalkery couples,

sims with strict instructions to behave,

Sims with even stricter instructions to behave because I will not tolerate boingy hearts at this wedding,

legacy spares who look very worried. Bless 'er,

and a bridegroom who liked to bask in the sun. I must get that fix.
Never the less, it was a lovely ceremony.

*drool* I tell you what Doc, your genetic experimentation created one gorgeous looking sim.

With the applause dying down, things started to get a bit more like the funny weddings I normally end up with.

Subtly is not Stanley's strong point.

Not that a still glitchy Jamie cares.
Inside Indy and Di were cutting the cake.

He feeds her nicely. <3
The cake cut, the reception gets into full swing.
Outside Bee does what she does best:

Angela and Charles prove that Doc and Theo aren't the only stalkery 3 bolt simself-legacy sim couple about.

Celestia becomes the first (but not the last) guest to take a dip in the pool.

Bee continues doing what she does best.

Becca also makes new friends.

Inside Vicky and Sarah laugh about how they are wearing the same dress.

(Most of my formal gowns look bridal, so there are a lot of sims running around with the same formalwear).
Orikes gets angry sitting next to Beth. There were a number of conversations happening here and I have no idea who she was talking to.

Eddie meets someone new.

A&A make me squee.

In order to keep the kiddies amused I plonked down a playground for them.

With the kids all off playing, Charles finds the pool, and I must say I still think that he is the best looking boy from gen 3.

Vicky meanwhile does something no other member of her family has ever done before.

"This is great this is."
*sigh* This is the only computer in the whole hood and is left over from when I was getting all the simselves in this house into their careers so they could become permaplat. I forgot it was still about.
Oh and Jamie unglitched!

The pool proved to be very popular with the guests, and I was glad that it was the first day of autumn so the outside temperature was still hot.

"Damn my wife is hot when she's doing a glitchy possesed bask in sun."

"Damn my husband's hot when he is wearing his bathing suit."
Lots of heartfarting and stalking going on, but as for Stanley.

"I'm being good."
You are.
"Lots of women here I am in love with or have bolts for, but I'm not acting on them."
You aren't.
"I deserve a treat the next time you play me."
Erm, yeah I guess.

See Theo really does like to play the guitar!

I think that Peter is so sweet, and he always wants to interact with his family. I might have to cheat and make him a family sim, rather than roll like I normally do.
I also love Celestia. I have a little something in mind for her which I am very excited about. I also love her and Stuart together, and might have to rethink whether or not second cousins squick me out.

"Because I am an alien some people think that I am all rawwrr..."

"or all ooooeeeoooeeooo."

"I do not. I think that you are nice."
Oh and I have a child invisible newspaper thief.

This is Paul Boyle, and he is related to Theo and his boys. (Thomas & Jayani Harrison => Catherine & Jonathan Turner => Sophia & Aren Boyle => Paul). His family are right down in my "like to play" list for a number of reasons. Firstly despite him doing this, and his father being an ex-streaker, they are bloody boring to play. Secondly, Sophia didn't connect with anyone at the Acadamie, so I had her wish for love from a wishing well when she moved back home. Aren was the one who was dropped and he has the same face as her father. This annoyed me, but if you don't allow the kiss to go ahead, the same sim keeps getting dropped. I ended up marrying them, and because of the fact that Sophia took after her father, Paul is the spitting image of his father and grandfather. I like genetic diversity dammit.
Let's move on from that though and have some piccies of the happy couple and their wedding dance. (Yes this is their bedroom, the games room was too crowded for them to dance in).

This cracked me up. Indy kept looking at the camera and winking.

The events of the day seemed to be too much for a couple of the other residents of the house and by seven, both Lea and Gin were in bed.

The guests started to leave about eight, but there were some who stayed longer.

Patty, you have just married Vicky, do not start heartfarting my daughter. I'm thinking about trying out the new ACR to give my spares a bit more free reign, (it seems much more customisable than the old version, and I love the idea of the friend zone. That really would have come in handy with Stanley and Carmen at uni), but then I start to worry about them doing something silly with it, and making me angry.
Bee was a bit too pre-occupied with telling Doc about how ghosts are scary to notice though.

Oh and Jamie definitely unglitched andstarted walking around with a smile on her face.

"Of course I'm smiling, Stanley's just walked in in his bathing suit."
She didn't stay smiling for long.

"Miss Jamie I feel that if you are this tired, you shuld be thinking about retiring to your bed."

"That same advice applies to you too Miss Pen."
I found out something rather intersting during the reception too. Visiting sims can make hot chocolate, whereas they can't make coffee. And boy did they make hot chocolate.

As well as every tile of the kitchen floor, some of the hall outside had cups on it,a nd every clear end table or coffee table too.
It amused me greatly to see who was left at the end of the night. As well as Jamie and Pen who were face down in their food, there was Vicky in the hall drinking some hot chocolate...

and these party animals.

Their respective partners had all gone home, but they remained.
The very last sim to leave?

Ah Stanley.
I've been doing a bit of building too, and I was going to share some pictures today and see if there is any interest in one of the lots, but I'm at nearly 100 pictures in this post already, so I'll put that off until another day.
I'll leave you with this picture of SimDi, and doesn't she look happy?

Enough self centeredness.. All of your parties look like so much fun, but I have not the patience to play one so big myself so I must live vicariously through your hilarious parties.
I love in one of the shots where all the simselves are sitting down clapping, I can see Doc and Anthony standing up. Gee, wonder where THEY'RE trying to get to...
Eddie sitting next to Carmen Leong at a wedding? Please to be hurrying up with the foreshadowing and get to the loving, please.

I like having so many sims on one lot because they are so funny when left to their own devices.
Hehe, you can't see it very well, but Angela is also standing next to Charles. The 3-bolt couples didn't want to be parted.

All the kids are flipping adorable!
Oh and I would definitely recommend giving the new ACR a test run, the Friend zone makes things alot easier, for sure.
no subject
I did have to giggle at the fact that her face stayed like that for so long. hehe, well I have promised Stanley a treat, so a date could very well be on the cards so that she can add to his love count.
I love the kids this gen already, and I'm looking forward to playing them and developing their characters.
I've been reading the notes that come with it. I did like having ACR in, when it didn't annoy me. This version looks less annoying, so I might give it a go.
no subject
It looks like the kids had a great time as well. There are so many cute ones this generation!
I think you are going to have to keep a close eye on Prof's simself. She likes to stir up trouble.
no subject
I had to take control of SimPen eventually because she was face down in the cake for so long, I started to get worried. When I made her selectable she was this close to starving to death!
This generation is adorable and I'm really looking forward to using them and getting to know them better.
I don't think I've had such a troublemaker, and I have sims who are more outgoing and have less nice points running around.
no subject
I can't believe you managed to get ALL those characters together without fights starting or hearts flying or your computer falling to bits. It was a lovely wedding.
Also, where did you get Prof's hair? Waaaaaant.

I was very lucky and they were all very well behaved. The lot did lag a bit, but I upgraded my RAM a couple of months ago and it keeps surprising me with how much I can do.
Prof's hair is by Windkeeper at T$R. It's called Simple Victorian, and is really nice in game.
Thanks, I saw a journal with a custom banner the other day and decided I wanted to find out how to put my own on.

Aw, look at my simself trying to be the peacemaker. She should know better when it comes to the Prof, though. Prof did the same thing in my hood when I added her, but the target for her was Nathan (ChickenSensei). She would not leave him alone. I finally trapped them at a chess table until their points were high enough to keep her from attacking him for breathing. This was, of course, before I discovered the joy of InSim and today would just mess with their relationship score to fix the problem. ;)
Anyway, topic at hand.. WEDDING! I found the best way to deal with getting everyone seated is to select them and make them sit, then right after you've clicked on the arch for the ceremony to begin, click off the 'sit' box in their queue. That way the wedding comes up in the queue and they stay in their seats and watch the wedding. The only trouble I ran into with this were the sims I wanted standing off to one side to watch. All those sims moved to the back of the chairs and watched from waaaaay in the back. Ah well.
This cracked me up, Di. :) I've missed your sims, so it's fun to see everyone in all their wedding finery and the craziness. I love that you admonished Stanley to behave and he did. See, he's a good boy. A VERY good boy. ;)
Congrats on your pixelated nuptials. :)

It seems that Prof has a reputation for this sort of behaviour. She happened to pick on the wrong sim this time though, and I have never seen enemies be made so quickly. It'll be interesting to see if the same thing happens when I go into the lot again. Since I exited without saving, both Circe and Prof should be in the same place.
I've done that in the past, and had sims get up and try to move seats, so this time I just kept putting Di as far away as I could, whilst telling the guests to watch the wedding. It took a while, but I ended up with just 3 sims standing that I couldn't get to sit, so I wasn't too worried.
It is so funny watching what they all get up to when I leave them to it. It's been nice to play for a bit, and I am concentrating on getting some of the rotation done before I do some more shooting.
Stanley was very, very good. He is going to get that treat next time I play him.
I will pass your congratulations on to my simself and her hot hubby. :D

I think the Prof picked the exact wrong simself to irk. o_0 No one should ever mess with Circe.
no subject
Your simself had a lovely time, but she did party herself out. She chose to sleep in the games room, so that she could still be in the thick of things.
I know, Circe will be plotting revenge of some kind, that's for sure.
no subject
Congrats on your pixelated bliss!
no subject
I was laughing so much at Prof and Circe, it was a case of waiting to see who would be the first to attack.
Thank you, SimDi and Indy are very happy.
no subject
And Stanley totally deserves a treat! Considering how many simselves he's been sleeping with, the fact that you didn't have a slapfest at the wedding = wow. Did you make him controllable to avoid that?
no subject
I couldn't believe how well behaved everyone was. Stanley isn't what you would call shy, and I really did expect him to try it on with at least one of his girlfriends. I only made him selectable once, when he was hovering around one of his girlfriends. Her face dropped out of his action queue before I could roll over it and find out what he was trying to do. As soon as it did, he went to talk to Gin, who he's not seeing, so I made him unselectable again.
no subject
Well done Stanley too, managing to avoid flirtation and slappination? Hurray!
The kids are looking awfully cute too, I can't wait to see more of them as time goes by.
I downloaded the new ACR last week, but only got to give it a test run today and it's really quite good! I love the friend zone, but some of the things like 'autonomous engagement' scare me half to death.. But the increased options give a really good variety of controlling..ness. Which I like :)
no subject
I'm glad you liked them. I know that there were a lot of them, but I liked them all.
I'm very proud of Stanley for avoiding the drama, and he is going to get that treat when I play him next.
The kids are so adorable, and I have something in the pipeline that will use them. I'm very excited about it.
Oo-er autonomous engagement sounds scary, but I do really like the idea of the friend zone, and increased control.

Indy is quite the hottie, and his maleness is your nummy gain! It looked like the wedding was a blast. Indy seemed to be enjoying himself, although Becca appeared to be in the hot tub in a bathing suit! Bee must have gotten loads of Aspiration for Meet Someone New. Also, my spawnlets are ADORABLE. And I'm sure any future Indy/Di spawnlets will be as good-looking as Becca and Bee!
no subject
I know, and I thank your plottiness every time I see him in game, or one of your chapters. Everyone seemed to have fun, and Bee certainly made a lot of new contacts. She has 11 new met so-and-so memories.
Becca wearing a bathing suit surprised me, so much so that I made her selectable to check that I had given her 10 outgoing points. I have, so I like to think that she was being thoughtful and decided not to shock the rest of the guests.
Your kiddies are so lovely, and a lot of fun. They'll be appearing a lot because they are the same age as Bertie.
I need to make room in the house first. My efforts at matchmaking a simself and a certain angstsy legacy sim aren't going well, because they can't have a civil conversation. I'm going to have to change someone's interests I think.
no subject
Gah, I'm babbling on and on about my game this is about your game wedding. It was quite beautiful! The kids looked like they were having a ball with the playground equipment. And Stanley knew what you'd do to him if he ruined your wedding. You'd marry him or something.;)
I can understand about the recycling of formal wear. But it doesn't look like you had any diva's spoiling the show over it. I'm curious though, what was I wearing? I have trouble picking out my simself with so many of us with brown hair and glasses.

I think that the kids loved the playground, and I'll have to build another one for them somewhere.
Oh yeah, I would have punished Stanley somehow if he had ruined the wedding, but since he was a good boy, he's going to get a treat instead.
I have so few formal gowns there was no way that everyone is going to have unique one. Your simself is wearing the same dress as Alexandra and Lea and has her hair in the same style as Doc. If you look at the pictures of William and Beth clapping, you can see her over his shoulder.

I love the 3-bolt stalkery couples. ^-^ They're so sweet.
What a lovely ceremony! Both the bride and groom looked happy. =] I'm happy for you/your simself.
I laughed when I saw Stanley standing up and cheering. I'm not sure why I found it amusing. I think he'd be the loudest cheering attendee at any wedding, despite his romancer ways.
I loved the pictures of the kids on the playground.
I also laughed at Indy winking at the camera.
Thanks for sharing. =]

I love my 3-bolt couples, they make me squee so much.
I think everyone had a good time at the wedding, and SimDi and Indy are certainly happy. Stanley is always among the first to stand up and clap at a wedding. I think he feels that it is a fine institution for those who choose it, but he's happy as he is.
I love the playground equipment, and I took far too many pictures of the kids on it.
Indy makes me laugh when he does things like that, they're just so...him.

3 bolt stalking is always the best. ;)
I apologize for Circe behavior. She’s always causing trouble. I would lecture her on the proper way to socialize, but she would just start yelling at me to stay out of her business. *Sigh* I try.
I can’t wait for the chapter update! Many congratz to SimDi & Indy. :D
no subject
Love the 3-bolters.
Hey Circe was very well behaved, she only retaliated, apart from one shove. It was all Prof's simself, and she did follow Circe into the house to attack her.
no subject
There sure are a boat-load of gorgeous sims in your game!
no subject
The last few generations have been genetically blessed and there are a few sims I can't wait to see grow up too.
no subject
Bravo on getting that many sims in your wedding! My game would have died a slow and painful death if I even thought about it. Thank you for the update, it was lovely.

My pc's pretty good when it comes to having lots of sims on the lot, and there's not quite as many as there were for Punishment. I upgraded the RAM in March too, which has helped.
Well, it's slow going so I thought I'd better keep everyone updated. :)
