Hmmm cameraman mode is borked

So Saturday I finished set dressing the slum lot, and sorted the lighting too.  I took a few pictures to share with you, and cameraman mode was fine, no problems whatsoever.

Sunday I went back into the lot to take a few more, and, well it wasn't pretty.  I get to the last quarter of the lot and the camera goes screwy.

This is a picture from the last quarter of the lot taken Saturday afternoon:

This is what was happening Sunday;

As you can see all of a sudden it has started to drop the camera below the street level.

I have added no CC to the game since taking the first picture, and hadn't opened the game between taking them either.

My dummy game (which is a back up from the week before) is unaffected, and it has the exact same cc in it too (although my OMSPs seem borked in this game for some reason).
So any thoughts guys?

I've deleted the .caches as normal pulled my downloads etc, and nothing has helped.

I can do the set dressing again in the back up in my dummy hood, and then drop that one into my proper game, but if i can get this fixed without having to do that , I'd prefer that.

EDIT:  I've dropped my backup hood into my proper game and the lot is fine.  I think then that something must ahve got corrupted on it when I saved and exited out on Saturday.

Guess I'm going to do some set dressing again.

I'm not very good at figuring out the borked stuff, but it almost looks like you have the "view at a 45 degree angle" button clicked. I'm not on the computer where my game is though, so I'm not sure if that's an option in neighborhood mode.

That was my first thought, but it's not ticked. The camera is fine until I get to a certain point on the lot, and then it flips until I push through it.

Is it happening on other lots? Did you build the lot from a prebuilt lot? I know that there's one lot in the standard downtown that seems to have that (the karaoke place). Not sure if anyone has found a cause or a fix for it :(

Nope it's just this lot (so far). It started as a brand new blank lot that I placed in my custom downtown. It was perfectly fine on Saturday, borked Sunday.

I'm going to try placing my backup hood into my main game and see what that does.

I've had that happen to me. It always seemed to fix itself when I logged in and out of the lot. It also had a habit of messing up again if I had the game on too long or when I had a lot of objects overlaying each other from using the "moveobjects" cheat. Of course, this isn't a fix, just sharing a similar experience. =)

I did think that it might be because the pc had been on a while, but it was still happening yesterday when I'd just turned the pc on.

I have overlapped things using move_objects, but no more than normal. I am at a loss as to why it's happened.

If you're in gameplay mode and set a camera angle at that end of the downtown lot with Crtl/4, then go into cameraman mode, what happens if you hit 4 to snap the camera angle back?

Nothing, the camera doesn't move at all.

I think my best course of action is to drop the copy of the neighbourhood from my dummy game into my proper game and redo all the set dressing and lighting.

Well hon, I'm sorry you have to do it all over, but I'm glad it started working!

I've just gone back in this evening and everything seems ok, so hopefully it will stay that way. I'll share pictures of what it looks like now in a few days.
