I'm feeling better tonight so I was going to spend it making cc. Part way through the first project, windows started telling me my HD is failing. It's done this once before, waaaaaay back in Feb 2012, and everything has been fine since, but just in case, I'm spending my time backing everything up. Hopefully it'll be nothing again, but if I lost this chapter, the start of the next, the members of gen 6 who have been born, and the cc projects I've been working on, I would be less than happy.
Missing entries?
May. 18th, 2013 09:51 amIs anyone else finding this? I have a couple of entries I made on the 10th and 11th of May. They're showing on my friends list when i go back that far, but not on my journal. Clicking on them in my archive just redirects to a page saying no entries exist for this day. Is this due to the cluster error and maintenance do you think?
Is anyone else...?
Jul. 18th, 2012 01:59 pmHaving real problems with PBK? It started yesterday evening for me, but basically, more often than not I'm getting the following error when I try to access pages on the forum:
I'm trying to get onto the technical problems part of the forum, to post this, but can't get there because it keeps erroring. I'm wondering if it's just me, or if there is a general problem.
I should also mention that this is happening from my home computer and my work computer, using two different web browsers, Firefox and IE.

CreMo Progress Report - Day 19
Feb. 19th, 2011 01:04 pmGoal:
Write chapter 24.2, ideally get it shot and published too, but we'll see how it goes.
Progress:
Outline: First outline done, subject to revision as I write.
First draft: Done. Stands at 204 slides, not including the credit slide.
First edit: Done. Taken the shooting script up to 210 slides
Shooting: Started 6/210 slides done.
Second edit: not started.
Final edit: not started.
Upload.
Publish.
Thoughts:
A couple of things today. Firstly I knew that the first edit would be huge and it was. I completely reworked some things and made other scenes bigger so that they flowed better. However this means that my shooting script has broken 17k. That is massive and I'm worried about uploading it all as one part. What I'm thinking of doing is seeing how i go with the shooting, and if I decide to split some slides (likely). I'll then see if I can split the chapter into two, and upload both parts together. That way, if my readers are so inclined they can read both parts together, but it's not required.
Secondly shooting isn't going so well, and at the moment I'm doubtful that I can get finished. I started shooting on Thursday, but unfortunately, I've also managed to get sick. Yay, go me! Therefore shooting on Thursday was slow, and I only got 6 pictures done. Then there is the fact that I've had ongoing problems with my computer since I got in in September. I went 10 days without the system crashing and so was feeling good about it. Thursday and Friday I opened the sims four times. Three of those times resulted in the system crashing on me before I had even managed to load a lot. Yesterday I'd had enough; I'd spoken to my local computer shop in the morning who said they'd need to look at it to determine the problem, and so last night, after it had crashed while I was loading Lauri's lot to make her card, I decided to swap from that computer back to my five year old, reliable Compaq. So, after spending hours transferring everything over I'm back on my lovely compy and hopeful that I can start making progress. It may be a lot slower than the monster, but at least I know it's not going to go splat on me. I'll take the monster to the computer shop and see if they can work out what's wrong, and we'll go from there.

I haven't forgotten...
Nov. 3rd, 2010 11:44 pmAbout part three of the Harrison boys' non-bc, honest. It's just I've found myself dealing with other things this week and a half, such as playing/shooting and trying to rescue part of my neighbourhood from a complete meltdown.

Hmmm cameraman mode is borked
Aug. 17th, 2009 08:29 pmSo Saturday I finished set dressing the slum lot, and sorted the lighting too. I took a few pictures to share with you, and cameraman mode was fine, no problems whatsoever.

Well I think (I hope) that I have just avoided a disaster in the neighbourhood. At about 9.50 I decided to call it quits for the night, and go and have a shower, so I exited the game, having told it to save. I was just surfing the net whilst I waited for it to shut down, when up came the message "The application has experienced a problem and will now terminate."
Cue huge panic by me since I didn't know if it was still saving when it crashed, and I know that that is a VBT which will kill the 'hood. I went back into the game, which of course seemed to take longer to load that normal, and thankfully Regalton was still there. It loaded fine, as did the Harrison household, so, touch wood, it looks like everything is fine.
I've used simspe to check the character files, and they all seem to be in order, so I am hoping that I've got away with it. I do have a back up of the 'hood I made two days ago sitting on my desktop, so I'm going to put that on my flash drive just in case. I really don't want to lose everyone or have to rebuild again.
