Rebuild update

SO with the xmas special over and done with, I'm back to working on the rebuild, and it's going well.  With the exception of the society houses, I've got every other complete lot now in the new hood, and the new dummy hood.  I also finished furnishing a lot I've had half finished for over two years, so I'm pleased about that.  I now have three lots I need to build for the move and/or the next set of chapters, one small and two large with specific purposes.  Of course, the lot I decided I wanted to build last week, wasn't any of those.  It was a completely unrelated farm.

I'm pleased with how it's coming along, but I do want to know why me building this, turned into me deciding that it'd be a great idea to convert several objects from TS3.  I've not finished them.  I've got two done, but the shadow isn't showing up for the butter churn, and I don't know why, plus making the textures is hell for me, so I've put that on the back burner for a bit, until I feel like tackling it again.  Since I don't need the farm for anything, I can do that.

Not feeling like working on building on Sunday, I opened bodyshop, intending to start work on one of the male hats I want to make.  Instead, I started thinking about something else I want, and ended up making this:

It's one of the Maxis child dresses, refitted to the teen body shape, so I can have, at last, some pinafores for my younger teens.  I've long wanted some clothes that would bridge the gap between my ten year olds, in their shorter dresses and loose bodices, with my sixteen year olds, in their floor length dresses, and fitted bodices.  Pinnys are perfect for doing that.  I still have some issues to work out before I can make the fat morph, and I've spent more hours than I want to admit on it already.  I'm hoping I can get it sorted soon, so I can finally start work on those hats.  Because I only have a bowler or a top hat mesh for them, and I want more.

So that's what I've been doing recently.  I've been busy, but productive.  I hope things are going well for all of you.  :D

The dress really looks nice, Di, and I love the farm!

Thank you. I still have issues with it, but I'm itching to get on with the rebuild, so it's as good as I can get it now.

The farm's shaping up to be just how I wanted it, and once I feel like working on objects again, I'll give those conversions another go,

Glad the rebuild is going well. :) Also, the farm is looking great (with horses and hens!) as is the dress!

It is! I've been making good progress with hair meshes this week. I'm pleased with how the farm's coming along, and I've given up with the dress for the time being, but it's good enough for my game, so we'll see if I want to give it another go.

That dress is lovely. I hope you share it, I could definitely use it!

Thank you! I've still got problems with it at the moment. There's bleed through on the shoulders with some animations, and no matter what I try with bone assignments, it's not getting any better. At the moment it's in my "it's ok for my game, and I'll try to improve it when I feel like it" pile of cc. If I get it to the point where I'm happy with it, I'll definitely share.
