Still here, honest!

Hello everyone. I've been more than a little quiet lately, since I've not been feeling particularly chatty. I did want to get a behind the scenes post done, but I don't have too much to say about the last chapter and it's filming, so that's been pushed to the back burner for a bit. And I know I also have to respond to comments over at Boolprop. I will get to that, but I'm not sure when, because, believe it or not, I have been very busy.
As mentioned here, I'm going to be rebuilding Regalton for when Bertie graduates. Well, that's the end of the rotation I'm about to start playing, and I have a shedload of things to do for that rebuild. (I did think about posting my to do list, but honestly, there's so much on there, the post would be huge.) I've spent the past two and a half weeks working on some of the prep work and cc that I need/want for that rebuild. The good news is that I now have new versions of all my sims, (a lot lost their hair when I went through and decimated my hair folder as I switched to Pooklet's textures and colours), as well as the simselves and imports that will be coming over to Regalton 3.0 at the beginning. All their stats have also been moved from index cards to a lovely new Excel workbook, too and I'm hoping I'll remember to keep that updated more than I update the index cards.
I've also been working on some cc I've wanted in my game for literally years, but I've not seen, nor have I felt confident enough in my own abilities to make it. That's changed, and this week I managed to make these lovelies:

1870s Police Constable and Police Sergeant uniforms, with helmet. I am so pleased with these, I can't tell you. Now to get to work on the fireman's uniform. The tunic should be straight forward, and I can use the same mesh I made for the police, and the texture is far simpler than the police one, since there is no complicated belt buckle, or insignia. But the helmet ... Yeah, the helmet is going to test me, both in terms of the mesh shape and the texture. Oh well. If I don't at least try to make it, I'll never know, will I?
*scurries back to non-talking state of non-talkingness and busyness*
