Time for another rebuild update. :D
CC to make or covet:
The big thing this week is that I've finished making sims for my townies, dormies etc. It didn't take me as long as I thought it wuld actually and I like what I've ended up with.

I used a varierty of face templates as well as the standard Maxis ones to create these, and I have to give a huge thank you to Lark, who let me have some sims she had made to be townies a little while ago. They saved my sanity at about the 85% mark.
Terrakosmos. These are the ones I ended up using the most as I came to the end of making the townies. It got to the point where some of the other templates were all looking the same, but these still managed to give me different but much softer features when compared to the Maxis ones.
Alfred Askew. I love these templates. They're different and unique, but still very smooth and make blending features easy. the only thing I found is that because she created them more to realistic proportions than the Maxis faces, I did have to adjust the heights of some features so that they will blend nicely with Maxis. Not by much, but a tad. And yes, I know that Maxis faces often have different height features (look at Sarah Jane's nose and David's Brow), but I'd like to minimise oddness as much as I can.
Trapping. Again, these are nice, and slightly more realistically proportioned than the Maxis features. My one problem is that the noses all looked the same from the front, even though the profiles were different, and that I had to resize and move features to prevent oddness when mixed with other faces. But there are quite a few faces with elf ears for those who like that sort of thing.
Pooklet. I ended up not using these much actually. They're nice faces, but they started to all look the same to me after a while, especially as I got to about the half way stage and was starting to struggle with making unique looking sims.
Selzi. I supprised myself by using these the least, since they're a set of templates I've had in my game before. In fact, Marielle has one of these faces. In the end I found myself thinking that the features all looked too much a like, and I realised I had to keep moving the faces down to get rid of giraffe necks. I'm not sure why I was surprised by that, since when you look at Stuart, you can see that his chin is very high, and there isn't much room between his mouth and the bottom of it. (His chin is the only feature he inherited from Marielle).
So, they're the ones I used. I did look at a lot more, but found their features too extreme for my tastes. Anyway as it stands now, I can't wait to get all the new townies in the new hoods.
Before that though I have to do a bit of building. I've started on the first building I need, and I'm really pleased with it so far. It's a different style to what I'm used to, but it's coming along. I've also fallen in love with theJim07's vaulted ceilings and want to put them in every public building I have.

So much pretty.
Oh one last thing, I've been working on project refit the past day or so. All my adult females are done now, but while I was looking at the postlady's uniform I have, I was struck by an urge to make an authentic postman's uniform, so that's what I'm working on now. One of these days I'll stop adding to my already very long to do lists. XD
