So as well as being St George's Day and Shakespeare's deathday/birthday, it also happens to be my legaversary.  Yes, three years ago today, I put Gabe down on a lot in a subhood of Pleasantview and started my legacy.  There are a few things I wish I'd done differently, including doing a more intensive cc hunt and finding a way to make over my townies sooner, but this has been nothing if not a journey.

To be honest, when I started, it was a journey I thought would be finished by now, but I've made hardly any progress in the last year.  I can't be sorry about that.  I needed to take a break last year, and I think that having had longer to think about where I am going in generation five, will make it all flow better.  At least, that's what I hope.  It's a story I'm excited to be sharing with you all, even if I will need the use of the cave for part of it.

Anyway, back to talking about the beginning.

When I was thinking about doing a legacy, I started tossing ideas around on how to make it stay interesting to me.  I hadn't long found All About Style and her collection of Victorian clothes, and wanted to use them.  It's pretty obvious that I have, but what not everyone knows is that my very first idea when I was considering doing a historical legacy, was to do a legacy through time.  I was going to start in 1800, and each generation was going to span about 20 years.  i nixed it for a few reasons, including the fact that redecorating the house every generation would end up annoying me, but when I was thinking of what to do for my legaversary this year, part of that idea seeped back into my head, and I ended up thinking about what my sims would be like if they lived in different decades.

Enjoy.
A small present for you all )
All of my readers and friends, you rock.
