So, I have a list of things to do as long as my arm, and I don't really feel like doing any of them. I'm thinking I'm going to have to take a leaf out of Widget's book and start making monthly to do lists, if only to guilt me into doing them and crossing things off. I'm currently firing the game up to sort out Alfie, but I've not done any more filming since my CreeMo round up post, and have only played a couple houses. I've also not finished the red damask wall set, or finished the rescaled teacups I've made. Actually, there's not too much to do for those: all the meshes are made and the packages complete, I just need to slave them to the original meshes. That won't take long, I just need to get my head round following the instructions, since no matter how many times I've done it, I always manage to mess something up on the first package I do.

Aaaanyway, enough of that. I've been promising picspam for a while, so here we go. This is the first part of the Regalton houses, and you'll notice that there's nothing from either John's house or the main house. The reason is that I've not played them yet: I wanted to get the chapter written first, since I need to shoot some things with John and his family and I wasn't sure what age I need his child to be. As for the main house, well the main house is always the last one I play in the rotation.

Also, I should say that part way through this, I decided to change my rotation and synchronise all the seasons, and i started playing with lighting mods, so you'll see a few anomalies with lighting and seasons with these pictures. For those who are interested, I've cut my rotation down from five days to three days, and one rotation equalling one year at uni. Basically as I was starting to play this rotation I realised that over the past year, all of my ages had become hopelessly out of whack, and part of that was due to how I was playing the cousins at uni. This way should make it much easier to keep everyone at the age they should be, and I'll check that against a spreadsheet I've set up. That's the plan anyway.

But now, onto pictures.

Skinner House

(Descendants of Elizabeth).

Most of the families have moved house recently as I've built houses which look more British as opposed to the houses I downloaded for ease when I started the neighbourhood. The Skinners seem to like their new house though.

Gerald and Veronica are rather sweet. They fell in love at uni with no help from me, and I've been rather fond of them ever since.

This is Oscar, their son. I'm limiting the number of children cousins have now, especially when they're as far removed from the main line as the Skinners are, so he's an only child. He's just as sweet as his parents though.

He's also been busy making friends. (Emmi, <333333).

I also saw all three ghosts on the lot, and this, which I've never seen before:

I've never seen a ghost sim play fetch with a ghost dog before.

There was also a small fight when I forgot that Harold and Jihoon don't get on. At all. Their annoying soon disintegrated into a full blown throw down.

Which Harold won. He may be an old man now, but you don't mess with him. Of course, this did lead to a negative reputation message so I think that it's going to cost the family lots more to buy things now, but what can you do?

Harrison House.

Onto Theo's house now. Again, they've moved and you'll have seen some snatches of the house in the Christmas photoshoot I did. I'm actually really pleased with these new houses, and have found myself taking pictures at odd moments. This is Doc and Theo's bedroom.

I decided that it was time that Enid came out of mourning when I entered the lot and looked at her life bar.

Much better.

Since I knew exactly what would be happening later, I invited everyone over. This is here to show that on the monster (which I need to ring about, since it's still going splat and so I'm on the Compaq still), I've had to turn the view distance right down, since one of the things which happen when it's not going splat, is that the game crashes when the view distance is too large. In fact I have to have the view distance set to smaller than on the Compaq. What does that say about a computer which is meant to be more powerful eh?

While Enid was greeted everyone, i indulged Celestia and her want to ask Derri on a date. I sent them to the Common over the road, for a spot of pillow fighting.

I love this picture and when I took it, I did think of shooting a version of it for the upcoming chapter. In the end, I changed what I'm doing with these two ever so slightly, but I do still love this.

Poor Derri got targeted by the UC. I can just imagine Celly thinking "you do realise that this is all a ruse and that he's going to pick your pocket, do you not?" in that first picture. She's not impressed by it all.

Despite the UC, they did have a lovely time on their date, although you notice how Derri is in love with Celly? She's not in love with him. *grins evilly*

I really don't know what's up with this mesh, but yeah, odd things happen with it a lot.

Louisa, Cyd, Gregory and Harry were also invited over. I've nto really had much chance to work them into the story, which is a shame since I love them. The boys are exactly in between Zane and Mickey age wise, and so will be at uni with both of them and a year above Emmi. I have plans for Emmi at uni, so hopefully you;ll get to see them more then.

This would be the reason for taking Enid out of mourning and inviting everyone over. Enid finally gets to join Frederick, I think she out lived him by about 14 days in the end. Although her death occurred at the beginning of the rotation, I've moved it back in the story to the next one, since chapter 2.4.2 is long enough and I'm using the boys being away from uni as a catalyst to something else, and that needs a nice chunk of the chapter dedicated to it.

Doc and Theo mourned in their own ways. I like to think that Theo is getting his own back for the kidney extraction in the BC. Of course, I'm not sure that trying to rip out her heart is the way to do that, but Doc doesn't look at all concerned, so what do I know?

This was about the time when I started fiddling with the lighting files. I added Spooky Muffin's lighting mod but there were a couple of things with it which bugged me, including how bright dawn was, so I had a fiddle and made it darker at dawn and at night too. This is the Harrison house at dusk. Pretty no?

It's not made it into the story very much, but Celly is a very talented ballet dancer. The reason I went that route, is because she's always made her way to the ballet bar as soon as she wakes.

Celly is always bringing others home with her and more often than not, it's a Whedonberry or a Fitzhugh. I giggled my way through this game of rock, paper, scissors since they ended up in a dead heat six times before Celly won.

Balfour House.

(Charlotta's descendants).

Again, this is another new house, but I hate to admit it, it's not one of the families I look forward to playing. It's not that I don't like Elle, they're just not particularly interesting and I didn't realise that Joshua's face template was completely broken, so Helen looks more than a bit wrong at the moment. It annoys me, and so that's why she's not been seen.

So, I didn't take many pictures of this house, but I have to say that theirs is probably one of my favourite dining rooms, so have a couple of Elle talking to Helen over dinner. (You can see, Elle got away from me and headed to bed as soon as it got dark, but I got her up to eat). Also, this is before I made my lighting mod, so the lighting is a bit bright.

Charlotta and Hannah did make their presence felt while I was there, and both came out to haunt together. I like how animals and sim ghosts can interact, but I kinda wish that sim ghosts could too. I'd love to see these two stalking each other again.

Nosferatu Castle

Ok, it's not really a castle, but I think that Anne would like the name.

Last time I was here, Florence gave birth to Lawrence.

Anne and Mathias haven't let being grandparents slow them down at all.

Florence is a wonderful mother, and it seemed like no time at all, until it was time for Lawrence to grow up.

Emily Rose cracks me up. If I could have her in the story, I would. She just has a habit of pulling the best faces at the best time.

Lawrence is adorable. I love him already. Unfortunately he didn't get the nose from Corbin, but he's a real cutie anyway, and I'm looking forward to getting to know him.

Wrenworth House.

(Robert's descendants).

This is one of my favourite houses to play, but due to the fact I wasn't sure where I was going with Vicky and the enquiry agency, I've not been playing it as much as I should. That means that while his twin has just died, Robert is still fairly young, which pleases me.

Let's start this section with this little lady. This is Leonora, and I love her.

As does the family

I adore these two, I really do. (Also, this is the dawn light after I adjusted the lighting mod. Perfect to my mind).

No reason for this picture beyond the fact that I like it.

Leonora grew up this rotation too. I have no idea what is up with Vicky here, but she did cheer up later.

Here she is, all grown up. There will be another discrepancy with Leonora's age in the chapter, where I realised that she should be slightly younger than she is at the end of the rotation. It happens, and since she doesn't appear in it, it doesn't bother me too much. She might end up being a friend with Emmi later, since Emmi's only four days older than her, but I'm not sure. I'd love to include so many of the cousins, but I just can't.

Again, this is a new house, and is based on the asylum, but with the interior stripped out. I love it, especially with the lighting mods in.

Alfred's House.

This is one of the forgotten twins, but I've decided that both of them will be getting grandchildren. Well, hopefully anyway.

Ruby is a romance sim, who formed a few attachments but nothing lasting at the Acadamie. This is Sullivan and the only man she really kept wanting to interact with, so he got to be the one she fell in love with and married. And yes, he has Joe's face.

It was at the wedding that I, not only once again wished I had more Victorian formalwear (especially for elders), but realised that Marielle's hair had fallen victim to Project Hair. (I'm at XM Sims with that actually, but haven't felt like doing any more for weeks. I'm so close to finishing it too). The welcome wagon (yes, they're also in a new house), was made up of simselves, and as you can see, De was very concerned about Marielle's lack of hair.

Mysery meanwhile, stopped the wedding by going up to Sullivan and admiring him as he stood under the arch, waiting for all the guests to make their way into the garden.

Sullivan was NOT impressed.

Neither was Ruby.

This just made me lol.

They did eventually get married, even if Mystery didn't find her way back to the rest of the group to watch until it was over.

Marielle did get new formal hair, which I think she liked. She seemed a bit confused by it though.

Fire tried to get to know Ruby, unsuccessfully.

She ended up playing kicky bag with De in the pantry/scullery.

While Mystery got fed up and went home. All in all, I don't think she had a good time at the wedding. :-/

Ruby and Sullivan have been trying for a baby since their wedding night, but so far with no success.

James's House.

James is the other forgotten twin, and again I have plans for his daughter Lydia to have children. unfortunately, unlike Ruby, she didn't find anyone at the Acadmie for me to set her up with. Well, that's not exactly true, the man she liked most (and even has a crush on) is Aiden, but you'll meet him later on.

I therefore had her wish for love at a well. Now there are a few sims that are completely off limits to her, but I was hopeful that with nearly 1000 character files in the neighbourhood, there would be a man that the well would find for her.

NO! NO, NO NO!!!! I don't even know why they have so many bolts, since she doesn't match Bertie's turn ons at all. (I nearly gave them away there, opps).

I stopped the kiss, and had her say goodbye. I forgot she'd say goodbye like this. *headdesk* NO!!!!!!! Missy, you cannot has. His future wife will kill you.

Fire is making herself right at home in Regalton, popping into most homes and getting to know my sims. Eddie is here because of the one picture I needed from James's house for chapter 24.1.

I'm still freaked out by how much like William James looks.

Claire is kinda awesome. She's always off doing something fun.

Anyway, I busted out the crystal ball and worked on trying to find someone for Lydia. She had the most bolts with Julian here, but they just didn't get on.

She got on better with this guy, but he's got Joe face too, and since I've always seen her and Ruby as pseudo-twins, I find them marrying sims with the same face a bit squicky. She did also get Liam Munster, but I can't find the picture. :(

At the moment, it's looking like this is going to be her husband. It's taken three days to find him, and she does seem to like him, so it's all good. I'll work at getting them to fall in love next rotation.

Charles's House

Charles family was largely uneventful this rotation. I've still not decided what to do about the house: it kinda fits the period, but not quite, but I don't know if I want to spend a lot of time rebuilding it.

Charles and Eric decided to gossip through the door. I have no idea why, but there you go.

I also discovered on this lot that when there's snow about, the corners of the road seem to lose their textures. And yes, it was winter on the lot when I entered it and it took a while for it to warm up once I'd changed it to summer.

Charles and Angela are 3 bolt stalkers too. They're lovely.

Since Angela is perma plat, she has to adhere by my normal rules for female sims and so stays at home all day. She really likes the pool table, but I've also had her test out the manuscript from MTS. I've also just remembered that I want to change her hair, but haven't.

Anyway, at the end of the rotation, Eric headed off to uni.

Abigail's House.

I need to sort out what I'm doing with their house. At the moment, they're living in a block of flats I downloaded and it's very glitchy. Ideally I want to build some cottages, but I've not had the inclination to do so yet.

Anyway, the only thing of note which happened was that Amelia left for the Acadamie.

Timothy's House.

So, I looked though the storytelling folder as I was sorting my pictures and was shocked. I was sure I'd taken more pictures in Timothy and Laurii's house, but obviously not. This is all I have.

Timothy is a dear and is all over his wife. This makes me happy since I always wanted him to be different to his brothers and he is. Like them he has only 1 nice point, but as with Alexandra, you'd never know it.

This made me giggle: Timothy pulled the chain while Lauri was in the shower, so she scolded him as he got in the bath and then was all shocked at his nakedness.

Happy families. :D (Yes, this is the picture I used for Lauri's card, but this is taken with the in game camera unlike the card which I used Gadwin to capture).

Nosferatu Cottage.

So, this is the cottage where Anne's eldest, Richard moved after uni.

And this would be Richard with Aiden. Yes the same Aiden Lydia had formed an attachment to. Richard got there first, so he gets to keep him.

Yeah, so I forgot to have him have his first kiss before. All sorted now.

Doesn't he look happy?

That kiss lead to a whole list of wants that I had to fulfil.

I've also moved Aiden in now. He looks so creepy here, but he's a sweetheart really.

And Richard is very, very happy which makes me smile.

Stanley's House.

Stanley didn't actually get played this rotation. Since hie ageing is all out of whack, it doesn't matter if I play him at the moment. Plus there are a few things I have to think through where he is concerned, things which I don't think I'll be showing until chapter 24.4. (That chapter is going to be so big, it's not funny). Anyway, although I didn't play him, I did pop into his lot to check out my lighting mods (dawn especially since I knew his house was at 6.00 when I left it), and my new S2 skin. I feel that it would be a crime against humanity not to share the pictures I took during this. And they also don't need words. Sit back and enjoy.
