I seem to suddenly have loads I want to achieve this week with regards to the sims, so if I'm a bit quiet online it's probably because I'm working on those projects.  Because I feel like talking tonight though I thought I'd share what I'm up to with you all.

First of all I've been playing.  I've got to shoot Vicky, Rosemary and Louisa's graduation party as part of the next chapter, and then once I've sped through the other three uni lots (where I can cheat my little heart out because they are all distant cousins) I'm back in the main house to shoot the rest of the chapter and start with chapter 20 too.

Anyway playing means I have picspam for you.

As well as playing I'm working on a couple of CC projects.  The first is a new alien skintone.  I mentioned in my reply to Prof in my vampire skintone post that I fancied having a go at making a green skintone with a hint of silver to it.  Once I got the idea into my head it wouldn't go, so I sat down and ended up with a skintone that looked nice in Bodyshop on the mannequins there.  Bodyshop isn't the best testing ground, so I finished the adult skins and imported the skin into the game.  I transferred it to my dummy game and went looking in CAS for a couple of aliens.  Here's the results of my test:

The other thing I'm doing at the moment is another Herter Brothers wallpaper and  ceiling set.  I finished the lower border this evening, but thought I'd share how this came together for any of you who are interested.

I've been doing more set up for Joe's punishment tonight.  I've got nearly everyone in the neighbourhood now., just need to put in a couple more simselves and Joe of course.

I did come up with a bit of a puzzler though.  This is the 'hood I did my Halloween photoshoot in, so I have quite a few gen 4 sims about, and I was going to bring them into it.  Well I need to pack out that amphitheatre don't I?  The thing is every other sim in the project is dressed modernly, so I wasn't sure whether to do the same with them or not.

Now that I have got Alexandra's story done and on the exchange, I'd like to share how the storyline changed and evolved with you.  This is extremely spoilery, so if you haven't read chapter 15.3, don't read this.

Well with both parts of chapter 14 now posted, I thought I'd share some thoughts on it and quite a few pictures that didn't make it.

First of all, I found chapter 14 very difficult to write, especially the first part, mainly because it was game-play based rather than plot based.  I find having a plot for a chapter makes things so much more fluid to write, so I came up with some character based scenes to 1 make it easier for me and 2 try to drive the chapter along.   I'm pleased with how they turned out, and I hope that you all enjoyed reading them.

Something else I wanted to do with this chapter was to start pushing Edward to the fore, whilst having William step back, but not disappear completely because there were still things I wanted him to do.  I'm happy with the balance I've struck, and I think that my readers should now feel like they know Edward, and will look forward to him taking over from William.
