Look at my llama now

Last week on tumblr, I was lamenting the fact that I still hadn’t decided what to do about the llama mascot in Regalton.  Heidi had the brilliant suggestion to use the mesh I’ve been using for Bertie and the rest of the footballers, so that’s what I was going to do.  However, this morning when I woke up, my brain started mulling the idea over, and I decided that, since we’d already seen the football team a lot over the last few chapters, maybe using that kit wasn’t the best idea.  But hang on, what if my mascot was the captain of the cricket team?  That’d work.

So quite a few hours, one new hair mesh, a new suit and two new defaults later, this is what my llama mascot looks like now.  A vast improvement, I’m sure you will agree.

Now to start thinking about the cow mascots…

Oh and to get on with making the cc I need for the next chapter...

Ooo! Looks lovely. I'm glad my idea gave you some inspiration on how to make the llama more period appropriate. How about a polo uniform for the cow mascot? (It's the only other really British sport I can think of at the moment).

Hmm, that's a thought. I'll have to search for references. The other thing I was thinking, was using another sporty mesh I have.

Are you planning on uploading him as a default? Or even just the outfit as custom, because it does just look so wonderful and perfect. :)

Thank you. I want to make a teen and child version of the hat, and then I'll probably upload them as a proper hair.

I was thinking about uploading the defaults last night, but there's a fairly major issue if I do. The llama mascot head and body are unisex. I'm lucky in that because both my playing hood and my filming hood are new neighbourhoods, created using clean templates and various no-respawn hacks, the single llama mascot in each, are both male, and so this default works. If anyone has a female mascot, things are going to look really funky, because the hair and outfit won't fit the sim. There is no way to change this.

I might stick the outfit up as a custom outfit though.

Oh wow! How dreadfully embarrassing of me. I never even thought twice of there being female mascots!

Drats, what a shame! Maybe you can upload as both CC or just default, and I'll just.... have to kill any female mascots before I put in the default. D: Because I don't think there is any other mascot replacement for this era anywhere else!

Thank you. Aww, I'm not that good. I just get an idea in my head that I really want in game and then try to make it happen. I don't always succeed, but it's good when I do.
