...of secuROM.  Yay!  I finally took the plunge and removed the blasted programme, and I can't tell you how good it feels.  I downloaded the removal tool from a link at Simmers Against SecuROM because I really don't feel comfortable editing the registry myself, and it appears to have worked: there is no trace of SuckuROM on my pc any more.

I've been a busy bee sim wise too.  I've planned the next interlude and made a start writing it, and although I've not got as much written as I would like, it's only a small piece so should be up sometime in the next week.  It will be the cover for this that will take more time I think, because I'm going to play around a bit more with PSP.  I have an idea of what I want, I just need to do it.

I've also nearly finished the spares rotation: I just have the uni houses to play.  I've cheated in a few, rather than play them all the way through the five days because it was taking so long and there wasn't anything I wanted to do with them this time around.  Anyway, there were lots of birthdays and so I have lots of pictures of spare spawn to share with you...

I'm going to start with the heart-throb if the legacy Theodore, because, well who doesn't want to see his picture again?

I've currently got five volunteers for a BC with him and I'm sure that two more will be forthcoming.

As you can see his sister Louisa is utterly adorable.  Frederick and Enid make damn-good-looking kids even if I say so myself.

Charlotta's adopted daughter Elle is now a stunning teen.

Charlotta got old, although apart from the grey hair, I don't think she looks much different.  I have very mixed feelings about it.  In one way it is an accomplishment that I have got this far, in another ... she's old.  The next few rotations will be full of sims ageing: Will, Beth and Hen next rotation, Robert, Cecilia, Frederick, Catherine and Enid the one after that.  I'm sad about that.

At least I'll still have this lady for a long time yet.

Richard her eldest is lovely.  There's something about his looks I really like, and I hope he just gets better with age.

Florence is also now a child, and apart from her eyes, which are smaller, she looks just like Anne.

Anne has just had her third child, a girl called Julia, and she's blonde.

Henry and Aphrodita's children are also adorable, and Timothy did this autonomously - looks like being brought up by simselves has done some good.

This is Timothy's brother John.  At first glance he looks like his elder brother, but he has Henry's nose and his jaw seems shorter.

Oh, and they have a third son called Alfred, or Alfie to avoid confusion with his uncle.  I'm really looking forward to seeing him as he grows up.

You've not seen Robert's daughter Rosemary yet, but here she is as a toddler.

and as a child.  She appears to have none of Stanley's oddness thank goodness.  I was really worried about how she would turn out.

Speaking of Stanley, here he is as a teen.  It's not that I think he's ugly, because he's not, he just has very unique features, which don't necessarily mesh well.   his eyes especially seem too small and high up on his face.  I'm planning on you all seeing more of him and Theo as the legacy progresses.

Alfred and Marielle have only one child at the moment, even though they both want more.  I'm just not sure if I want to add another house for the next rotation so they will probably end up just having Ruby here.

I can really see both her parents in her, and I love how different she looks to her cousins, yet still looks to have the Legacy Brow

Last child I promise.  This is Lydia, Clare and James's daughter.

I think she looks a lot like Claire actually, although that is Elise's mouth and Gabe's chin.
Sorry about all the pictures, but I'm really not sure how I'm going to work everything that has happened with the spares into the story yet, and I wanted to share them with you all.

Genetics are one of my favourite aspects of the game, and I cannot tell you how happy I am that Gabe's brow is still about.

Huzzah!

It's great that you finally got rid of SecuROM. That program is just nasty. I got rid of it as soon as I found out about it, but I have the king of all computer nerds in my house to make sure I didn't kill my machine. Including Suck-U-ROM on EP's and, I think, in one of the patches, has destroyed what trust I had in EA.

I really wanted to get rid of it sooner, when it mucked up my DVD burner, but the instructions at MATY looked far too scary to me. When Dita did her walk through over at the SAS it got me thinking about giving it a go, and then the link to the uninstaller was posted, so I nabbed that.

I am just so glad that it is gone, and I'm now sorting out my games.

I really don't feel like buying any more games which have it on, especially the new version.

That is a lot of cute kids.

And you know if Gin hasn't already volunteered for the Theodore BC, she totally will when she sees him! Unless she's got her heart set on Spider Jerusalem...

I love all the kids so far this gen.

I have actually pencilled Gin's name in for one of the two remaining spots. I will be most surprised if she says no she doesn't want a crack at him lol.

Victorian spare spawn ftw! :) i'm really looking forward to the next chapter, although i owe you a comment on the last two ones. =X i need to learn about "commenting as i read". it'd probably work better. :P

congrats about removing SecuRom, it hasn't caused my game any problems, so i'm not going to risk my game. =/ i hope EAxis do something about it, though. D:

Thanks Patrick.

I must admit I tend to read a chapter through once, then go back and comment whilst reading again. it takes me a while, but I know I've commented on everything I want to.

I was unfortunate, SecuROM stopped me from burning DVDs, but I was far too scared to try removing it manually, so the uninstaller was a godsend.
