Happy New Year everyone!  I wish you all the best for the coming year.

I'm going to start the year by apologising for the fact that I owe quite a few comments over at Boolprop.  My only excuse is that I haven't felt much like commenting, even though I've loved what I've read.  I'm hoping that I'll start to feel more like it soon and get caught up.

What I have been doing is playing.  I'm only a few sim hours away from finishing the rotation in the main house.  After that I've got to play another house and shoot a couple of sims, and then I've got everything I need for the next chapter.  YAY.

Because I've been playing, I have a few things to share with you all.  Most excitingly is the fact that for the first time in about, oh 18 months, the main players of the generation are all teenagers.  I've already shared pics of Bethany and Christopher, but here are the rest.

Peter (Theo and Doc's eldest):



He still looks a lot like SimNerd, and I think he's adorable.

Andrew (Peter's twin):



He looks so much like his dad, but that is SimNerd's brow.

Celestia (Theo's alien baby):



I think she's stunning and yes, her hair is green.  I don't know why, but it feels right, even if it's not exactly Victorian.  I mean, an alien baby isn't exactly Victorian either.  Anyway, her 3 different hairstyles are the first time I've retextured hair and I'm pretty pleased with them.  (I messed with Pooklet's and Helga's textures to get a nice smooth texture that wasn't too shiny and then created my own colour).

David:



Anthony with Alexandra's Brow.  There is no other way to describe him.

Stuart:



My precious Stuart is very handsome, just like his brother and father.  Now they're older, you can start to see that Stuart and Bertie have different chins.  It's more obvious from the side, but you can just see that their chins are slightly different widths, and Stuart's is slightly squarer.

So they're my teens.  Because I had to play to get David to a teen in case he wandered into the background at Stuart's party, I've also had Mickey grow up to toddler:



He may have Anthony's colouring, but so far he looks like Alexandra.

Final thing. 



This is Emina.  She has Carmen's hair and eyes and Beth's pale skin.  I can't wait to get to know her, but alas, I will have to.

So that is a very quick tour of what I've been doing in my game.  I hope to get more done and start to get things organised for the chapter soonish.  I'm also hoping to get back into the swing of commenting soon.  I feel so guilty looking at Boolprop knowing I owe comments and replies.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm way behind with comments, too. You can only do what you can do.

I think green hair looks nice on Celestia. It blends so well that I didn't even register that it was green. It's the same as lip gloss: a "normal" color looks weird, and an unusual greenish color looks right.

Thanks, I'm so pleased with the genetics this generation, and it's so nice to finally have them as teens. :)

My problem is having the motivation to do them, I've got no real excuse. I start writing a comment and then my brain kinda goes "bleugh" and I forget what I was about to write. *sigh*

That's exactly what I was going for with her hair. Since she has black hair anyway, I wanted a green that was very dark so it wouldn't jump out as being green. I agree completely about the lip gloss. I don't like my aliens wearing normal colours at all, but that green looks lovely on her.

I like Celestia's green hair as well. I actually registered it as black until you pointed out that it was green. It's subtle and nice.

I owe a lot of comments too. It's easy for that to happen and we all understand.

*smiles* As I say to Prof, I wanted to create a colour that was so dark it didn't jump out as being green. I'm happy it looks like I succeeded. :)

I wish I had a good excuse for not commenting, but I'm really struggling to get the motivation to sit down and write them. :(

I'm so happy to see Emina make her appearance. I've always wanted Eddie and Carmen to have at least one child, preferably a girl, and I can't wait to get to know her.

I love this generation, and I'm so pleased to be starting to think about the next stage of their character development. :)

Beautiful kids! Celestia is very gorgeous, and like everyone else, I couldn't tell that it was green hair until you mentioned it. It's very natural looking.

Hooray for Eddie and Carmen babies! I can't wait to see what Emina looks like.

Celestia really is stunning. I think she is one of the best looking sims I've had born in game. Thanks. Since that was mu intention with her hair, I'm glad it looks like I succeeded. :)

Neither can I! I keep changing my mind on what features I want her to inherit from each parent. I think I'll be happy no matter what, but I would like her to have a more even mix than her brothers do.

They are, I'm so pleased with the genetics this generation already. YAY, I'm so pleased that Celly's hair doesn't jump out at everyone as OMG green. I really do want it to look natural on her.

I CANNOT wait to grow Emina up, but I have to. And I have to deal with William and Beth dying before then too. :(

All the kids are really cute, and I look forward to seeing them as they grow up. I thought Celestia's hair was black until you mentioned that it was green, but yes, it does suit with her being part alien. Did she always have brown eyes, I thought they were the black?

They are and they're great fun to play too. :) I'm pleased with the response to Celestia's hair. I don't want it to be OMG green, since that wouldn't work with my story and game. She's always had her daddy's brown eyes. All Theo's children inherited them.

It's so nice to be playing Regalton again, let me tell you. I've enjoyed the break, but it's so much fun to be getting to know everyone again.

I love this generation and I'm really pleased with the genetics I've got going on. I know Emina's going to be a cutie, but I can't wait to see who she takes after. :D

Genetics is possibly one of my favourite aspects of the game, and I love, love, love the fact that my gen 5 boys still have Gabe's brow.

Emina is pronounced eh MEE nah, and means beloved. Her dress is by Almighty Hat from this post: http://www.digitalperversion.net/gardenofshadows/index.php?topic=15817.msg426964#msg426964 I also snagged the kitchen defaults.
