Wow, it is a long time since I did one of these, but I have been playing recently, and thoroughly enjoying it. That is when the computer isn't crashing. Yes, I'm still having issues with my new computer, but I've just fitted a replacement video card, and we'll see if that helps.
I really did intend to post an out-takes post for chapter 23, but didn't end up doing so for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I took an insane number of pictures for 23, nearly 3000, and the thought of looking through them again to sort for a bts, made me baulk. Secondly, I started work on chapter 23 in June, by the time I finished and published part 2, I'd been thinking about the chapter for over two months. I was fed up with it, and didn't want to think about it any more. In fact I just wanted to make progress towards chapter 24, hence getting some of my cc projects out of the way so that I could get on.
Here are a few pictures from the end of chapter 23.2 though:
The version of Bertie leaving you saw in the chapter was completely staged in a dummy hood. This is the real one.

As you can see, he was actually very happy, and both Emmi and Carmen made it into the hall to say goodbye.

Eddie and Stuart, didn't. Eddie instead decided that it would be a fantastic time to tell Stuart all about how Bertie had found some coloured glass while on holiday in Simmouth with Beth and William.

They did however, just about make it to the carriage to wave goodbye to Bertie.
Although I have played Charles's, Alfred's and James's houses, nothing much happened there, so it's now onto the Wrenworth household.

This is a toddler Leonora, Rosie's daughter, last seen at the end of 23.1 as a baby. She is adorable, and I really must extract her soon.

See adorable.

I really love Cecilia, even though I don't feature her much. I laughed over the fact that her portrait makes her feel sick

Robert is a fantastic grandfather, and got picked to make the smart milk for Leonora,

Just as he was doing that, Cecilia decided to pick her up.

"Er, dear, what are you doing? I was getting Leonora a drink."
"Oh, right sorry."

Good ol' Cecilia put her straight back down again, allowing Rober to give her the bottle.

Rosie also spends a lot of time with her daughter, and was given skilling duty.
"Say 'Mama is the best detective in Simdon.'"

"No, no!"

Leonora decided that peek-a-boo was much more fun than learning to talk.

Much more fun.

Yeeeeah, privacy is not a word that is used in this household a lot, as poor Stephan is finding out.
More Robert and Leonora spam. I'm pretty sure that this is where Stanley gets it from Cait:

Stephan also dotes on his daughter and she loves his tickles.

the next house was the Turners, but nothing happened there, so let's jump straight to Stanley's.

Even on the phone, Stanley and Sim!Marina don't get on that well. They had a short conversation, which didn't do too much to their relationship. Oh well

I ended up taking him to Simdon to 1) see if the fix the tech guys suggested for my pc worked, and 2) to see if I can find him another lover there. I have vague plans in my head for something in the future, so as well as getting him lover 10, I'm thinking about that, and what I might need for it. Anyway, this is Audrey. They became friends quickly, but have negative chemistry, so I'm not sure if I'll take it any further.

Marielle proving that she isn't in fact locked up in an asylum, and that she finds Stanley hot.

Marielle proving that she always, always looks taller than any sim she is standing near.

Finally, Stanley headed home, to play on the piano.

He ended up in bed alone.
Onto the Skinner household now (Elzabeth's descendants). Only a few things of note happened here.
The dogs were cute:

Celestia was awesome:

(Right from under Gerald's nose).
And Harold managed to piss off one of Gerald's work colleagues. (Yes, this is the same sim I used as the farmer in the last chapter)

The next house on the list, was Timothy and Lauri's. I've not had chance to introduce their daughter, Peggy into the story yet, and I'm not sure if I will, but she's a lot of fun. Due to the fact that their house is a handful of days behind the season of the main house, Peggy had a snow day when I entered the house. She made good use of it.

(Guess who she takes after for her nice points).

A lot of fun was had by both Peggy and Lauri, and once Peggy got too cold, they went inside for hot chocolate

and grilled cheese sandwiches.
Timothy made sure that he spent time with his daughter once he returned from work too. He is so different to his father.

I'm pretty sure that Sim!Lauri would like another child, and Timothy certainly wouldn't object, but given how bad Sim!Lauri was during her last pregnancy, that won't be happening. Plus, population control. The neighbourhood is nearly at 1000 sims, and I am looking at makign sure that number doesn't suddenly jump.
Skipping a few houses to get to Anne's now, and Florence is home from the Acadamie. One of the first things she did when the vampires of the house woke up, was argue with Maxmillian.

He didn't care.

Emily Rose however did and soon came over to make her stake on her man, just in case Florence was planning anything.
She also proved that she pulls some of the best faces I've ever seen, and inspired a new user pic.

With the sun up, it was time to get Florence's chosen spouse moved in. This is Corbin Gray, one of the Takemizu locals. He appeared in the crystal ball, and they are very sweet together, but I didn't get them beyond crush while she was at the Acadamie. The fact that you have to invite locals for three days annoys me, and it doesn't always work well, so they met only the once.

Not that they care about that.

Neither does Kaylynn, and yes, she did drop that pile of rubbish on her way to the bin, turn round and finger gun the pair of them.

Poor Florence was made to clear it up before:

Yay for red hearts. This of course led to Corbin moving in and getting a make over.
Obligatory engagement pictures:

Corbin then celebrated by showing what a good dancer he is:

Before relaxing by doing some tai-chi:

With the vampires awake, it was time to make wedding plans.

(I absolutely adore this picture of Anne and Mathias wakling).

As you can see, Anne has a new formal dress. I'm not too sure about this mesh on her, but the textures are lovely, and it is daringly low cut too, which is a bonus for her.

I nearly got everyone sitting down for the wedding, only Emily rose seemed to have difficulty sitting in the seat put out for her. She didn't seem to have grasped the fact that she had to walk round the front of the chair to sit in in.

So of course, she had to stand in front of Anne, waving and moaning about it.
"I assure you, I may be smiling up at you, but if you stop me from watching my daughter get married, I will end you."

I lost track of the number of times I moved Emily Rose, and yet every time, she ended up in front of Anne again.

It did eventually seem to dawn on her that continually standing in front of Anne while she was trying to watch one of her children get married, wasn't the best idea she had ever had..
"Oh crap."

"Oh crap indeed. MOVE."

Julia, aka mini-Anne, was very pleased for her sister. Well, she does have 10 nice points and is a family sim.

I have no idea why Louisa is pissed off here, but there was something going on that she didn't like.

Alexandra was just happy for the happy couple.

I decided to see if the cake I downloaded from Vita was indeed cloned from the wedding cake, and if it can be used as such. Unfortunately, it errors when the sim cutting the cake, goes to feed their spouse, so I used a normal cake in the end.

It looks like Corbin knows better than to shove cake in Florence's mouth and risk her wrath.

Anne really is just such a pretty sim, and I'd forgotten how much I like the lighting effect of the candle on the dining room table.

After tweaking Corbin's turn ons, so that he is turned on by red hair, these two now have three bolts, and stalk each other a lot.

While I was following them with the camera, this bloke turned up. He's another local from Takemizu, and apparently is mad at Corbin.

So, he made the trip to Simland to steal the paper. That same old newspaper Kaylynn has in her hand.

Yep, he somehow managed to snatch it away from her as she was walking to the bin, and he was standing by the front door. Impressive.
Anne spam now, because she is awesome and I love her and wish i could fit her into the legacy more.

I really wish I knew why this nightgown makes her skin look all pixelated. Maybe I'll go on a nightgown hunt for her and get her a new one.

Mathias likes to let everyone know that his wife is hot.

And just because I like it:

An inevitable consequence of her marriage:

Florence gave birth to a boy called Lawrence Mathias Gray, and Mathias isn't sure if he's thrilled or not.

Anne however is.
That's all the spam I have for you today, and I hope you liked it. I'm now out of the main hood, and into the Grundstrom house. I hope to continue to make good progress with playing, and to have more spam for you all soon.

Date: 2010-09-30 07:45 pm (UTC)The vampire house is a fun one to play, and I'd forgotten how entertaining Emily Rose can be. I still think that Anne is the best looking girl born to the main house, although Emmi does give her a run for her money.
