Rating: PG.
Spoiler rating: 10/10.
Summary: What happens to Irene after Esmond manges to leave the Smithy and the village.
Notes: It was a lot of fun to revisit this, and although I'd like to add more to it, I think that this is a good start for one of the next parts to the story, when I get back to it.
Word Count: 625.

So, as those of you who have been following may have seen, I completed Go Fish on tuesday!.  (I actually managed to get something finished, go me!)

My entries can be found by following these links:

Prologue.
Part one.
Part two.
Part three.
Part four.
Part five.
Part six.

Or you can click the Challenge: Go Fish 2012 tag.

Fianl word count: 11,023.

For a challenge I wasn't sure about entering because I didn't know if I'd get itdone, i really enjoyed it.  It was a lot of fun to write with no expectations on my shoulders and I'm hoping that I'm going to get back to my story feeling a little refreshed.

I would like to continue this, in fact, I'd like to go back and work what I've already written into something more coherent and cohesive.  Would you be interested in reading if I did that?  (No idea on a time frame for that, but I'd like to pick this up as and when I feel like it).

I'm also going to open this post to questions. I'll probable answer under the spoiler tag and if I do, there will be spoilers, so read the answers at your own risk.

But anyway, thank you everyone at [livejournal.com profile] sim_spiration for organising this.  I had fun.

Title: Go Fish 2012: Part Six
Prompt: High Fantasy
Rating: PG
Summary: In which the invasion starts.
Notes:  So, I'm not very happy with this part.  It's one of those scenes where I need to sit down some more, pick it apart and sort out my thought processes and the timings more.  But it's also the last part I need to post for Go Fish, and I have very little time to turn it into something I'm happier with so I'm going to post it as it is.  Think of it more as a draft for a scene than a complete scene.

"I said, run." )

Title: Go Fish 2012: Part Five
Prompt: High Fantasy
Rating: PG
Summary: In which Boris and Cedric go back to the village.
Notes:  Again, I'm not too sure about this part.  I feel I need to edit it more and get it more straight in my head, but I also want to see if I can finish this this weekend (or at least get a rough draft of the final part done), so I'm going to post it as it is.  I might go back and revisit these pieces once the challenge is over anyway, and make a more complete story out of them.

Title: Go Fish 2012: Part Four
Prompt: High Fantasy
Rating: PG
Summary: Insidious.
Notes:  I'm not too pleased with this part all told.  I think the pacing might be off, and some of the language is stilted, but I want to post it since I've been looking at it for three days now and getting nowhere with editing it.  I'm starting to wonder if I've been looking at it too long, and that I need to let it go.

Title: Go Fish 2012: Part Three
Prompt: High Fantasy
Rating: PG
Summary: The Enchantment Breaks.
Notes:  This is a longer part that I was planning on posting for this challenge, but at the same time, this part can't be split easily, so I'd rather post it in its entirety.  Also, is it bad that I'm having this much fun writing Cahlleehn?

Title: Go Fish 2012: Part Two
Prompt: High Fantasy
Rating: PG
Summary: Into the woods.
Notes:  Continuing on with my Go Fish story.  A little rough around the edges, but I'm pleased with the direction this is going in.

Title: Go Fish 2012: Part One,
Prompt: High Fantasy
Rating: PG
Summary: In which we are introduced to our hero and his wife.
Notes:  The first proper part of my Go Fish challenge piece.  I feel it could do with a but more editing, and as if my ideas are there, but I'm not translating them to the page as well as I would like.  Oh well!  This is for fun and to get me writing more, so I'm not as concerned as I would be if I felt like this while working on a chapter.

Title: Go Fish 2012: Prologue Thing

It had never been enough. )

I get the impression that I am once again trying to do too many things at once. I have a pile of mostly complete cc projects, a chapter in the works, a new writing challenge and goodness knows what else, so I thought I’d make a note of the ones I’m actively working on here.

Things I am doing )

I didn't get round to posting this.  Go Fish has officially started!  The genre the majority of you want me to write for, is High Fantasy and I'm pretty pleased with this.  I have an awesome idea for the first scene, now I just need to take that and work out a comprehensive plot, (well comprehensive-ish plot, I have only 10,000 words after all, and a normal chapter for my legacy tends to be between 3 and 8 thousand words more than this, so once I get going, it's entirely posible this will be only the beginning of a story).[Poll #1854366]

Bear in mind, I might ignore the results completely or change them as  I see fit.  It is after all my story.  Also, if I use their face sculpts, I might change their characters to fit my vision.

One thing I did do last night, was reset Dash's hair.  It's not perfect, but I am pretty happy with it.  I'll see if it's still laying how I left it when I get home tonight, and I'll post a pic if it still is.

Hi guys, just a quick psa. [livejournal.com profile] sim_spiration is holding a summer writing/filming event called Go Fish. Check out the details here.

It looks like it might be quite interesting to do, and I’m seriously considering signing up. The thing that’s stopping me, is the fact I want to get on with the next few chapters.

Speaking of the next chapter, quick progress update. First draft is written, but it’s hand written, so I’m currently typing it all up into Powerpoint. I had a stressful day at work yesterday and didn’t feel like doing much on it last night, but it is going.

I’m also sorting some pictures for picspam, and I’ve made myself promise that I can’t play any more until I’ve got that posted
