It's that time again, I'm going to share some of many pictures that didn't make it into either part of chapter 22.  This chapter really was wrapping up Eddie's plot, and starting to lay the foundations of Bertie and Stuart's story.  There was also a lot of gameplay in it, since, well it's about time generation five became teenagers. ;)

Photobucket

So yes, here are my two boys.  I love them loads, and feel rather bad about what I'm going to be doing to them in the future.  Oh, why must plot beckon? But beckon it does, and I think that it will be worth it in the end.

Photobucket

Ah, Marielle.  Eddie's first wife is still a pain in the arse.  Her 10 outgoing points mean that she is always walking in unannounced and I've had to shoot round her on more than one occasion.

Photobucket

"Would you mind vacating the premises?  You don't live here any more and no one likes you anyway."

TribeBohemian asked about her in her comment and whether the boys have any contact with her.  She's still meant to be locked in the asylum at this point, and the family don't know about it.  (Thinking they will find out next chapter, but I've not started work on the outline for it yet).  Even if she wasn't, I doubt she would have any contact with her children.  The only time she would is if she was trying to beg money or trying to reinforce her position as the mother of the next heir.

She couldn't be more different to this mother:

Photobucket

I've played lots of family sims; I've rarely had one as child orientated as Alexandra is.  She is still rolling the want to have a child, and always wants to interact with all her children.  She's also one of the best pregnant sims I've ever had, and so I really didn't mind giving her so many children.

Anthony continues to be wonderful to his wife:

Photobucket

I really, really wasn't sure how Bertie and Stuart would react to Eddie remarrying.  I've got some...issues happening in game at the moment thanks to ACR kicking in causing Cyd and Stanley and Rosie's (now long deceased) grandmother having a one night stand.  Stan and Rosie hate Cyd with a passion since they think he is cheating on Mary with Louisa.  It's all very messy, and I didn't want the same sort of thing happening between the boys and Eddie or Carmen.

Photobucket

"Pap's getting married?"

Thankfully things are fine.  The two boys still love Eddie, and they get on incredibly well with their kasan.

Before we get to the ceremony itself, SimNerd would just like you to know that Theo is still Nummy.

Photobucket

I loved playing the wedding, and can you blame me?  I have some more pictures to share with you, and it's also another chance for you to admire the beautiful, beautiful kimono Cait made for me.  I seriously cannot tell you all how much I love it.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket

I'm having a bit of a problem with weddings at the moment, where the sims get up and clap looking to the side, rather than at the arch.  I never used to see this, so I don't know if maybe I've put a hack in that is causing it or what.  I'll have to check it out at some point, but it's finding time.  I guess I'll have to do it before the spare story though.

Photobucket

More wedding pictures.  I did love how Bertie stood watching Eddie and Carmen cut the cake, and it gave me a great way of introducing Bertie sitting ont eh step outside.

Photobucket

I love the look on SimNerd's face in this pic:

Photobucket

See this?  Carmen cleared all the plates away of her own volition.  She really is a complete contrast to Marielle.

Photobucket

The little chat between Carmen and Bertie was something I've been planning for a while.  I felt he needed to accept Carmen, and part of the reason he would do that was if she showed that she accepted and cared for him first.  This is the reverse of the shot of Carmen at the French windows I used in the update:

Photobucket

I went backwards and forwards for a little while before deciding on the one from over Carmen's shoulder.

More Marielle turning up when she wasn't wanted:  This was when the carriage turned up to take them to Takemizu:

Photobucket
Photobucket

Playing the holiday was a lot of fun, but I don't have that many out-takes from it that I can share since a lot of them were what appeared in the update, just from different angles or different points in the animations.  There were a couple of scenes I knew I had to put in, but the rest were things i thought would be nice as I played the holiday.

This did make me laugh though:

Photobucket

"Urgh, want go to back to sleep.  Why must I get up?"

Photobucket

"Morning, hi, hiiiiii!"

Photobucket

"Hiiiiiiiiiiii."

Eddie managed to break the shower one morning.  Carmen was not amused and lectured him for ages.

Photobucket

Carmen wasn't the only on who made a wish at the shrine, Eddie did too (at two different shrines).  His wishes didn't go so well.  He got bees and poison ivy, poor thing.

Photobucket

I don't make too much of Carmen's aspiration, since it's largely irrelevant to her personality and character, but she does love to talk about grilled cheese,  Eddie has 8 nice points, so he doesn't mind.

Photobucket

Bertie's nightmare.  I really wanted to show his nightmare and how, the fact he now has a more stable family and a maternal figure who genuinely cares for him, means they have all but stopped.  That doesn't mean I didn't feel really, really, really guilty about making him have nightmares over and over so that I could get all the shots I wanted of him tossing and turning.

Photobucket

I used the freezer clock to freeze Bertie when he sat up in bed, so I could arrange Eddie and Stuart too.  This meant I did have to edit out the zs.

Photobucket

I had the hardest time shooting Stuart and Carmen's conversation.  Most of Stuart's expressions were unusable, although he did throw me a couple of perfect ones I used.

Photobucket

As for Carmen. her bed hair glitches like mad when she turns her head too much.

Photobucket

I then had real trouble thinking of the right words when it came time to write it, but I got there in the end. :)

I love Carmen, I really do.  She's a great sim.  She's also a stock Scorpio, and I have to keep a tight rein on her when she is out and about, because she has been known to prank and poke sims she really shouldn't (*cough* Larch *cough*).  it also means that if someone pranks her, she has no qualms about showing her displeasure:

Photobucket

The geisha turned up quite a bit throughout the holiday, but it was trying to introduce them that I struggled with.  This is Heidi Fuchs btw:

Photobucket

Eddie apparently got mad at nothing at some point:

Photobucket

I hope this isn't another indication that the hood is heading for a meltdown.

I never knew getting pics of Eddie and Carmen cuddling in bed would be so difficult.  I ended up shooting them a day or so later than they are shown in the story, because they would not cuddle for longer than 2 seconds when I first tried.  I wanted the kiss on the forehead and the other animations,.

Photobucket

The visit to the Wise Man was another scene I'd planned well in advance and knew I had to shoot it.  I was so happy when Carmen started clapping her hands together as she walked under the gateway.  I paused at just the right time, and it looked like she was clasping her hands in front of her.  I just think that it's one of the most striking and nicest images I captured in Takemizu Village.

Photobucket

Shooting the scenes here were also a pain.  For a starter, the Wise Man started doing Tai Chi, giving me a dilemma.  I have only ever seen Tai Chi performed in Takemizu once before, and that was by the ninja.  The only reason Will knows how to do it, is because he was on the VPLs lot when Florence's fiance (a Takemizu local) was visiting, and started doing it.  Did I try to get Carmen to learn it, or carry on with the planned shoot?  The shoot won out.

Photobucket

Next there was the fact that I had to make the Wise man sit down and drink tea 4 times before I got all the pictures I wanted.

Photobucket

It finished when the Wise Man told Carmen the Dragon Legend and disappeared.  Le sigh.  i ended up filming a few more shots in my dummy hood, just to round the scene off.

Photobucket

Stuart was in the hot springs too, but he wasn't quite so impressed with the warm water.

Photobucket

The restaurant was a lot I downloaded from MTS.  It's lovely, but I can't remember the creator's name since I downloaded it months and months ago.

I've never seen a child drink water while dining before.  I admit, I squeed because Stuart looks so cute here:

Photobucket

Oh and Eddie still primps all the time:

Photobucket

The tea house is another downloaded lot, and I loved the idea of Carmen taking her family there.

I admit, Bertie wasn't quite as good as Stuart at bowing, but I liked the idea that Bertie had mastered it too.

Photobucket
Photobucket

The grounds of the restaurant are beautiful and I shot a few more things there, including this:

Photobucket

I had to shoot it that way round, (which did work because you can see the  boys in the background) since Carmen's face gitched:

Photobucket

So romantic.

The last day was spent reshooting a few things I couldn't get first time.  When they were at one of the parks the local who had pranked Carmen, got pickpocketed.  I did laugh.

Photobucket

I discovered when shooting the mystery, that if you pause the walking animation at just the right place, you can position the sims so that it looks like they are holding hands.  I had to have Eddie and camrne holding hands on their walk.  Of course i had to do some more editing because of the mesh clipping, but I love the finished picture.

Photobucket

Poor Bertie and Stuart got eaten by the seats of the carriage on the way home:

Photobucket

Ok, back to the main house now.

Beth has a career LTW, and there's no way it's being fulfilled.  I also installed FT after she had already been through the big events that give lots of lifetime aspiration points, so there is no way she was going to get perma plat that way.  Thing is, I couldn't bear the thought of her dying not permaplat.  I suddenly remembered the genie lamp and had her wish for peace of mind.

Photobucket

She's now permaplat. :D

It's about a year since Bertie had his last birthday, so it's about time he became a teenager, don't you think?

Photobucket

Of course, I did have to shoot round something very big:

Photobucket

"Hello."

I sent both boys to school when they got home from Takemizu, and Ellie came home with Bertie.  While I was happy to see her, I did have to get creative with my camera angles.  I'm not introducing her to the story until either chapter 23 or 24.  (Really need to finalise my timeline).

Photobucket

"What do you mean I can't stand here?"

Stuart was by far the most enthusiastic cheerer:

Photobucket

And, for some reason, Ellie didn't go home at the curfew, so I had the two of them talk.  They became friends very quickly.  And yes I had to shoot round them when getting shots of Sarah Jane and Stanley dancing.

Photobucket

Something you didn't see in the update is the fact that I've given Beth's Bric-a-Brac a facelift from the outside:

Photobucket

Building Simdon and Simmouth has made me wish I'd spent more time getting the look of the community lots in Regalton much more 19th century village like, rather than the mish-mash of higher architecture styles it is.  I'm going to be making over all the comm lots when I feel like it, and Bric-a-Brac was the first.

The shop has such good clientèle too.

Photobucket

I'm sort of half-heartedly trying to get the pop impossible want point with Eddie, so every so often when there's nothing else going on in the house, I'm having him wish for friends from the well.  He decided to gossip with one of the well drops.

Photobucket

"You know Stuart..."

"Yes."

Photobucket

"His father..."

Photobucket

"...divorced his mother."

(Yes that is Liam Munster in the background).

There are times when Bertie and Stuart really are joined at the hip:

Photobucket

A huge part of this chapter was me contrasting Carmen with Marielle.  We saw how she talked to Beth, how she acted towards the two boys, and how her relationship with Eddie is very caring and physical.  We also saw how willing she is to take on her duties, and how hard she works at them

Photobucket

The garden has become the most important symbol of those duties, and Carmen loves being out there, working away.

I did shoot a scene on the common. but didn't think it added anything to the chapter, so it got cut.  Here are a couple of pictures from it anyway:

Photobucket
Photobucket

Celestia really does make the best faces.

Ah, there are times Bertie really reminds me of his father:

Photobucket

Because of events that were due to occur the same day, I grew Stuart up a day earlier than I was planning to.It also serves to reduce the age gap between him and Bertie to 3 days which works well for university.

Anyway, the Harrison boys were both pissed off about something when they entered the drawing room for the party.  (Pete's thought is a generic "Albert is a Popularity sim").

Photobucket

Celly just looked at the tow of them like this:

Photobucket

I love her, she's awesome, and I have far too many pictures of her looking gorgeous too.

Photobucket

I will say that she doesn't like losing though:

Photobucket

Moar A&A goodness:

Photobucket

They stalk each other silly, and I love it.  Zane is now part of the family, and you'll be seeing his arrival in the next chapter.

I got to spend more time with Anne this chapter, which was awesome.  She still rocks so hard:

Photobucket

"Yeah, it's about time I was seen again.  Anyone would think that you'd forgotten about me."

Never Annie.

Even though I made her cry a lot, it was fun shooting her and her brother together again, although...

Photobucket

"Why are you making her cry Di?"

Sorry William.

I also love Mathias, and thought that the shots I got of him and Annie were very touching and sweet.

Photobucket

I also shot a scene with all of their children.  I'm still not sure if I will include it in the next chapter, because it is Anne raising the subject of one of them becoming a vampire too.  For continuity's sake I'd like to include it, but I need to work out my outline and timeline first.

Photobucket
Photobucket

Yeah, Annie still doesn't suffer fools, even if said fools are her children.

I DID love this picture I got after they had left though:

Photobucket

I should really talk about Henry now.  I've always planned on him dying, there was no way he would want immortality anyway, and was very happy when I realised I could end the chapter with his death, for several reasons.  Including the whole, one plot ending, another beginning I mentioned at the beginning of this post.

Aaaaanyway, the death you saw in the chapter was a reshoot done in my dummy hood after I had cheated his aspy right down.  The reason being, this is the real death:

Photobucket
Photobucket

Yes he got the hulas.  However he didn't die platinum, and the urn you saw in the update is his actual urn.  Yes Henry caused me problems right up until the end.

I'm really loving playing gen 5 as teenagers.  Andrew (the blond) and Peter are a lot of fun.

Photobucket

Peter has 10 nice points, and he shows them all the time.

Photobucket

He also shows that he is a family sim all the time.

Photobucket

Andrew however, doesn't have 10 nice points.  As he likes to show his brother.  I know that some of you have expressed interest in meeting the two of them and I will introduce everyone and see who they get on best with, I promise.

Photobucket

To finish, have another picture of Celestia, showcasing the second hair I recoloured for her.  I did 3 altogether, and I'm really pleased with them.  I've got someone lined up for her,  and I'm going to be adding him to the neighbourhood soon.

Photobucket

So that's the out-takes for this chapter, I hope you liked them.  I'm starting work on the spare story for Lysander and Rosalind next, but I don't want the gap between this chapter and 23 to be as big as the gap between 21 and 22, so hopefully it will be only a few months until we're back in Regalton.

Celestia really is absolutely Gorgeous, she was already quite adult looking as a child but she's really grown into those amazing lips of hers.

And that is so cuuuuuuuute with teh drinking from the glass. I've never seen that either! I don't really take kids to dine out that much, or...ever, which would probably be why :)

Loved all the picspam Di :)

She really is a stunner. I think she's one of the best looking sims I've ever had born in game.

I squeed so much when I saw him pick up the glass. I'm going to start taking my sim kiddies out to eat more often.

Thanks. :)

Yay for outtakes! It's fun getting to see all the extra pictures. Marielle's random appearances made me laugh, and I love that Elle was trying to get an earlier appearance in the story, lol. I can't wait for your spare story or for more Victorians!

There's so much I just can't show, it's nice to be able to share some of it. Marielle just keeps turning up like a bad penny. She will not go away.

Elle is adorable. I put her in as a child in the hope that one of the boys would be=ring her home from school, just so that things are easier for me down the road. didn't expect her to show up for Bertie's birthday though.

It really is an absolutely beautiful kimono, and I love it loads.

They do! I've had a few people say they want to be introduced. Not that I can blame, them, your sons are very good handsome.

Great pics, Di. Marielle is still causing you issues with her random apperances, huh? I love to see what didn't make it into the story. You have such lovely sims.

Thanks, and yes Marielle is still causing problems. She's a massive pain in the arse.

Thank you. I do love my sims, and I love being able to share the pictures I just can't put in an update. :)

AWWWW THAT DRINKING FROM THE GLASS SHOT AWWWW.

I would have had no idea that Carmen was a mean Sim if not for this! I like the idea of her being a great person who takes no nonsense from anyone, though. She's really good for Eddie and I'm glad the boys get along with her okay. You shouldn't have any anger problems if he and Marielle no longer have hearts, btw. That's all the relatives care about.

Ahahahaha oh Ellie, I guess she inherited the Fitzhugh Attention Whore gene after all! *so proud*

YAY PICSPAM YAY. :D

I KNOW RIGHT? I was a puddle of goo when I saw it.

Yep, she has 3 nice points, same as Marielle, but for the most part she's alright. it's just when she turns up on comm lots with people she's never met. She thinks the best way to get to know them is to prank them

Yeah, she's very gently, but also very firm. She's definitely good for Eddie, and I'm very glad I don't have jealousy issues.

Hehe, I reckon she has. I was fine with her coming home from school with them, I would have preferred a different day. ah well, I shot round her fine.

Oh my, Eddie gossiping about himself made me laugh so hard. And that picture of Stuart drinking out of the glass is adorable. I've never seen that before either. Maybe my simkids just don't get out enough.

Haha, I laughed too. I don't think I've ever seen it before, but it is like his 8 nice points can't make him gossip about anyone else.

I think that's the reason I've not seen it before, but since they were on holiday, I figured I'd get them to eat at a restaurant. I squeed a LOT.
